Citizen Journalism between Objectivity and Rumors:
"Sociological Observation Of The Situation in Egypt"

Despite the presence of citizen journalism at the international, regional and local levels significantly since the last quarter of the twentieth century; and its increased presence with the development of social media in the twenty-first century; the role of citizen journalism emerged as a form of non-professional journalism in Egyptian society with the January 2011 revolution.
The growing trend towards digitization and reliance on it as a major source of information; A type of citizen journalism that does not enjoy credibility has begun to emerge.
The axioms of social monitoring in the Egyptian society shows that the general trend in it is no longer to convey the Egyptian reality as it is, as much as to take a course Such as spreading rumors and false news, which made consideration of the social reality of citizen journalism something urgent and very important, as well as the inevitability of creating true consciousness among the recipient that enables them to perceive and sort news.
